Course Details

  • This summer school study programme of ten hours week over three weeks will introduce you to key concepts in building design and planning, using design software to plan, design and model a house.

    You’ll learn to use construction industry tools and apply these to a house of your own design and will study the following areas:

    • Design software use
    • Planning and drawing on software your own house design
    • Developing an understanding of different resources and building materials
    • Researching plans and producing your own finished design

    This course is a requirement if you’re applying for our Architecture, Construction and Design Scholarship programme (LINK TO: https://www.tmc.ac.uk/courses/architectural-construction-engineering-scholarship)

  • There are no entry requirements for this course.

  • You will be required to produce a project based plan and design of a house.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to study Introduction to Construction Design and Architecture topics that can be used in Engineering and Construction for further study.
