T Levels are new courses, which will follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to 3 A levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work.
On this Industry Excellence Academy course, you will spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge that companies look for.
Your course will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical training or study in the Health and Science sector.
When you have completed your T Level qualification, you will receive an overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*.
T Levels are a great new choice after your GCSEs.
This is fantastic opportunity for developing your practical skills, whilst studying in the number one college for achievement in Greater Manchester.
You can expect to study:
• Working within the health and science sector
• Safety and environmental regulations in the health and science sector
• Managing information and data within the health and science sector
• Good scientific and clinical practice
• Core science concepts
• Assisting with an individual’s overall care and needs to ensure comfort and wellbeing
• Assisting registered health professionals with clinical or therapeutic tasks and interventions
• Undertaking a range of physiological measurements
Applicants must have 5 GCSEs Grade 5 and above including English, maths and science.
How will I be assessed?
Over the course of your studies, you will complete a number of assessments including:
• Synoptic Assessments
• Work Placement with employer-led projects
In addition to this, English, maths and general digital skills will be integrated within the qualification in occupationally relevant contexts.

Your T Level will be worth UCAS points. A T Level Distinction* is worth the same as 3 A Levels at A* – and will be recognised by universities and other education providers.
UCAS points will only be allocated to your overall T Level grade. You must achieve at least an overall pass grade to receive UCAS points.
