During the 2-year programme, students will learn the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of craft and design occupations
This T Level 2-year programme will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to progress into a range of craft and design occupations, skilled employment or higher-level technical training in the craft and design sector. Your knowledge and understanding will be assessed through an examination, and your core skills will be tested with a practical project set by employers.
In addition to this, maths, English and general digital skills will be integrated within the qualification in occupationally relevant contexts.
Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:
· the creative economy
· the individual in the creative industries
· cultural context and vocabulary
· audience and consumer needs
· legal and regulatory requirements
· professional standards and conduct in the workplace
· equality, diversity and inclusion requirements
· research skills
· project methodology and administration
· continued professional development
Undertake a minimum 45-day industry placement.

T Level - Ceramics Maker - – Industry Excellence Academy

Students will develop an appreciation of the different settings: studio potter or pottery in an
industrial setting and related processes, tools, techniques and materials. They will explore
different processes, techniques, tools and materials before specialising in a selected area.

- 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English, Maths and an Art & Design subject
- Attend an interview with a portfolio of work demonstrating skills and practical application or Art and Design techniques.
- Attendance at our Jump Start to T Levels programme.

The core knowledge and understanding are assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project.

Students who complete their T Level will receive an overall grade of pass, merit, distinction or distinction*. They will get a nationally recognised certificate which will show their overall grade and a breakdown of what they have achieved.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will... be able to progress to a range of craft and design occupations, skilled employment or higher-level technical training in the craft and design sector.
