During this two-year course you'll develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary for a range of roles in the jewellery sector.
Designed by industry experts, this course supports progression into skilled employment as a jewellery maker or jewellery designer, or further academic routes, including degree-level study.
You'll gain an understanding of the key aspects of the jewellery industry and explore various processes, tools, and materials that are essential to the craft and design of jewellery, refining and communicating your creative ideas.
Key learning areas include:
Responding to a creative brief with a jewellery outcome
Refining and communicating ideas for creative development
Researching and experimenting with materials, tools, processes, and techniques relevant to the industry.
You will work with a variety of materials, such as:
Precious metals (e.g. gold, silver, platinum) and other metals
Wood, ceramics, and plastics (e.g. acrylics, resin)
Textiles and leather
Precious and semi-precious stones
Lab-created stones (e.g. cubic zirconium)
Polymer clays, waxes, and sustainable materials
If you are interested in taking a T Level you will need to achieve the below entry
requirements:
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths.
Attend an interview with a portfolio of work demonstrating skills, knowledge and dedication in Art, Craft and Fashion Textile Design.
Attendance at our Jump Start to T Levels programme.

The core knowledge and understanding are assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project.
Students who complete their T Level will receive an overall grade of pass, merit, distinction or distinction*. They will get a nationally recognised certificate which will show their overall grade and a breakdown of what they have achieved.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will progress into a range of Jewellery occupations, skilled employment or higher-level technical training in the Jewellery.
