This one-day training course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is suited for low-risk working environments, such as small offices.
The course covers:
• Role of the first aider
• Assess an emergency situation
• The recovery position
• Use of a defibrillator
• Respond to a choking casualty
• Recognise and manage bleeding
• Recognise and manage shock
No formal qualifications but a minimum of level 2 in English and numeracy are required as well as full mobility to carry out CPR on the floor is essential to pass this course.
Casual clothing and trousers are recommended.
How will I be assessed?
• 60% of your mark will be based on your practical assessments
• 40% of your mark will based on the successful completion of an assessment booklet
Continuing Your Journey
