Course Details

  • This one-day training course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is suited for low-risk working environments, such as small offices.

    The course covers:
    • Role of the first aider
    • Assess an emergency situation
    • The recovery position
    • CPR
    • Seizures
    • Use of a defibrillator
    • Respond to a choking casualty
    • Recognise and manage bleeding
    • Recognise and manage shock

  • No formal qualifications but a minimum of level 2 in English and numeracy are required as well as full mobility to carry out CPR on the floor is essential to pass this course.
    Casual clothing and trousers are recommended.

  • • 60% of your mark will be based on your practical assessments
    • 40% of your mark will based on the successful completion of an assessment booklet
