Course Details

  • This qualification will help students to learn, develop and practise the skills required for a career in the travel, tourism and aviation sector. Areas covered by this course include aviation terminology, customer service, teamwork, airport and locational geography, and preparing for employment in travel, tourism and aviation. A range of methods are used to deliver this course, including guest speakers and simulation on an aircraft and airport check-in desk.

    Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

  • Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of practical activities, written assignments and portfolio based work.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress onto a Level 2 Air Cabin Crew or Aviation course. Students can also use this qualification to work towards becoming skilled in their chosen career. Roles in the travel, tourism and aviation industry include a holiday representative, tour guide, travel agent, airport assistant and airport security.
