If you are passionate about employment rights and the fair treatment of colleagues in the workplace, this stage one course is the essential start of your journey to becoming a workplace Union Rep. You will find out what it means to be a Union Rep and gain insight in to the wider union, how to represent members effectively and how to take up both collective and individual issues with your employer.
By the end of the course you will have developed the skills you need to be an effective rep and will be ready to progress to the next level of union training.
You must be a representative of a TUC affiliated trade union and have authorisation from your workplace to attend.
How will I be assessed?
You’ll be monitored and assessed by your tutor throughout the duration of this 10-week course via assignment, project and classroom/workplace-based activities.
Continuing Your Journey
Completing this level 1 course enables you to progress on to the next level of union rep training, TUC Employment Law Certificate. You can also enroll on further TUC and Unionlearn programmes.Careers page
