This qualification helps students understand all areas of a modern body shop, including repairing a car from start to finish using the latest repair methods, state of the art workshops, and equipment. This course includes all three key areas of a modern accident repair garage; Body, Paint and MET. It will also help students to develop key personal and social skills that will prepare them for further study or employment.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that the applicant has a very keen interest in cars and a willingness to learn. A GCSE in English and Maths at Grade C or above is also desirable, however this is not mandatory.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of multiple choice tests and practical tasks.
Continuing Your Journey
Upon successful completion of this qualification students can progress onto a Level 2 Multi-skill qualification. Students can use these qualifications to work towards becoming a skilled technician, workshop controller, damage assessor, insurance assessor, or into a management position.Careers page
