As part of the course, you’ll gain knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace, building the skills associated with working in a garage and developing your awareness of job roles and department responsibilities in a medium to large size dealership. You’ll finish the course with the Level 2 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance, directly relevant to the automotive sector and awarded by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).
You’ll need to be over 16 years old, and either have a previous Level 1 qualification or three GCSEs at grade D or above (including both Maths and English at grade C/grade 4 or 5). You don’t need any previous knowledge or experience, although some Level 3 knowledge is desirable.
