This is a practical based course, designed for students who are interested in learning about the maintenance of motor vehicles and the various roles that are available in the motor industry.
The course will predominantly be spent in the workshops working on vehicles, understanding how they work and how to maintain and repair them. As well as automotive mechanics, students will study Functional Skills and also gain an understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
How will I be assessed?
There will be assessments throughout the course that consist of practical assessments, theoretical multiple choice questionnaires and job cards from the workshop.
Continuing Your Journey
After successfully completing this course, students can progress onto Level 2 Studies in Motor Vehicle or onto an apprenticeship.Careers page
