Openshaw Campus
(Short Course - 1 day)
If you're qualified as a plumber or heating engineer and want to learn how to install Vented and Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems in order to comply with appropriate Building Regulations and Standards, then this comprehensive course is for you.
The course will allow you to demonstrate your competence so you can join and Competent Persons' Scheme, allowing the self-certification of installations, or to notify the local Building Control department prior to commencing work.
Trainees must hold a recognised trade qualification (e.g. NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or Domestic Heating that includes Water Regulations), be working towards one or have evidence of a number of years' experience in the plumbing and/or heating industry, as well as holding a Water Regulations certificate.
Assessment of this course consists of a combination of practical and theory examinations.
After intensive training on four modules, the course is followed by the completion of three assessments including a practical. Trainees must successfully pass all three assessments to gain the BPEC Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems certificate and competency card.
Once you've completed this course, The Manchester College offers additional plumbing qualifications that you can add to your portfolio.
Each qualification you achieve will take you closer to your ideal job in the construction and engineering industry, giving you all the skills you need to have a successful career.
The cost of this course is £170.00. If you have any further queries, please contact us on 03333 222 444 or enquiries@tmc.ac.uk.
