It’s official: The Manchester College rated Number 1 in four key educational areas
College secures amazing results in this year’s achievement tables
The Manchester College has retained its place as the number one college for achievement in Greater Manchester in the latest Department for Education National Achievement Rates Tables (NARTs), while also securing top spots in three more categories; officially underlining its commitment to excellence.
This year’s results has seen the College retain its rating as the number one further education college in Greater Manchester for achievement, with an achievement rate of 91.7%.
It also secured number 1 in Greater Manchester for 16 to 18 achievement, with an achievement rate of 89.1% which is significantly higher than the national achievement rate of 83.4%.
It also scooped number 1 in Greater Manchester for adult (19+) achievement, with an achievement rate of 93.5%, which is well above the national achievement rate of 89.9%.
In addition, the College has been rated number 1 in the country for basic skills maths and English achievement across all ages.
The NARTs positions the College as 11th best in the country for overall achievement, 12th best for 16-18, 17th for adult learners and 1st for basic skills English and maths out of all colleges in England.
The success follows on from a string of shortlist nominations in prestigious national awards that recognise the College’s work in delivering courses that improve students career prospectus and overall employability. These include the AoC Beaon Awards, the Educate North Awards and the TES Awards.
