Building Self-Belief through Music Production

Scott joined The Manchester College to study on the Level 3 Access to HE Music Production course. He spent a few years developing his skills before deciding to study and was eager to make progress. 

Whilst on the Access course he impressed staff members with his work ethic and willingness to learn and develop his skills. When it came to progressing onto a degree course Scott had a choice of universities, but opted to stay with The Manchester College. He said:

The atmosphere and the staff are great and everyone is really knowledgeable. The studio facilities are amazing and the technicians and technical support are all really good. I’m able to book studio time whenever I need it and use the equipment to develop my own work.

Whilst studying his degree, Scott assisted visiting musicians and guests from the industry as an engineer during their sessions in The Cutting Rooms. He’s built up an impressive network of contacts as well as extremely valuable professional experience. He sees every opportunity as a chance to learn and better himself.

I just want to get better and better at music. It’s what I love and this is the perfect place to do it.

Scott has developed his own Soundcloud page and after a busy few months has recorded an EP which is currently being offered to record labels.
