Taxi course puts Aden back in the driving seat
Adult learner Aden Hussein is one of many successful learners who is enjoying the benefits of full time employment because of The Manchester College Taxi Knowledge programme.
We caught up with Aden, who is now working full time for Manchester City Council, to have a chat about his amazing journey.
“I wanted to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to both of my tutors who helped guide me in the right direction to achieve my Taxi Badge for Manchester City Council.
John and Howard are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They always have time to talk to you individually and fully explain all the difficult areas of the Taxi Knowledge Programme.
Without their help and guidance, I do not think I would be in the position I am presently in. I can only encourage other people thinking about becoming a Taxi Driver in the City of Manchester to complete the short course with The Manchester College.”
Aden added, “In my opinion, this is a life-changing programme, which delivers the opportunity to get back into work and be in control of your own destiny as a self-employed Taxi Driver.
All the benefits from taking part in the programme are now very evident to me. I have full flexibility with my work patterns, I have guaranteed income, and I am working in a fast moving environment where I get the opportunity to offer the highest customer service to the visitors of Manchester.”
