Graduates at Bridgewater Hall

Congratulations to our Class of 2016 Graduates

The magnificent Bridgewater Hall was the setting for The Manchester College 2016 graduation ceremony. The event celebrated the success and achievements of over 800 students who completed higher education qualifications at the College this year.

The students graduated from a range of subject areas including business, computing, creative and digital media, design and visual media, health care, media make-up, performing arts, public services, sport and teaching.

Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Carol Austin-Behan was guest speaker at the ceremony. He spoke about his life and the obstacles he had overcome, and his pride at becoming Manchester’s youngest and first openly gay Lord Mayor.

We all have the power to make a difference

Angela Foulkes, Vice Principal for Curriculum and Support, said: “On behalf of everyone at The Manchester College, I’d like to congratulate each and every one of our graduates on their amazing achievement.  Having invested time and hard work to reach this point in their education they should feel very proud to be standing here today.

“Now is the time to grab the opportunities that come their way, use their abilities, their knowledge and skills. We all have the power to make a difference.

“It has been a fabulous year for all our degree level students and I wish them every success with their future, as they continue on their journey to amazing.”
