Stressed boy on the laptop

Keep calm and do your best

Exam season is upon us and we know it can be a stressful time. We’ve put together our top revision tips to help you through the next few weeks.

Set your alarm and get an early start – get ready for a productive day ahead

Turn your phone off – avoid distractions whilst you’re revising. Save catching up on social media as a treat for when you’ve finished.

Find a quiet space – sit in a quiet room where you can concentrate

Re-write your notes – use coloured paper or pens to categorise your notes and create memory maps or summarise topics

Test yourself – try out past papers and get friends or family to ask you questions

Go for a walk – fresh air and exercise can help to reduce stress and give you time away from your studies to rest your mind or organise your thoughts

Reward yourself – have a treat when you reach the end of a chapter – a piece of fruit, a biscuit or your favourite chocolate bar

Drink plenty of water – you de-hydrate when you’re concentrating, so make sure you drink plenty of water to keep your brain in tip top condition!

Get a good night’s sleep – switch off the night before an exam and get a good night’s sleep, it’ll help you concentrate better during the exam.

Keep calm and do your best!

Good luck from all of us at The Manchester College!
