The Manchester College leads the way in Greater Manchester

More students at The Manchester College go on to university, work or further study than from any other institution in Greater Manchester.

A level results are out and students at The Manchester College are preparing to take the next step towards their chosen career as they head to university, move onto further study or start a job.

The college overall pass rate for A levels is 95.8%, with 13 subjects achieving a 100% pass rate. Top scoring courses range from Chemistry, Physics and Computing, to Government and Politics and Sociology. Creative Writing, English and Media Studies students were also top performers. All Further Maths students achieved grades A*-C.

Our students are amazing and their achievements are testament to all their hard work and the dedication of our teaching staff.

Lisa O’Loughlin, Principal at The Manchester College, said: “I’m delighted to see the vast majority of our students receive the grades they need to progress onto their chosen career path. Our students are amazing and their achievements are testament to all their hard work and the dedication of our teaching staff. This is the start of a journey that will launch their careers and we are proud to play a part in their future, to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

“I am also pleased to see that our focus on ensuring our students have the skills they need to meet the requirements of the key priority sectors in Greater Manchester has been rewarded with 100% pass rates in many of these key areas.

“While many of our students will now be heading off to universities across the country, with the college also offering a wide range of university level courses, we will be welcoming back plenty of our students in September as they begin degree courses at The Manchester College.”
