New beauty treatments now available at Northenden Campus
The College’s training salon at the Northenden Campus is now offering a range of new treatments using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) for procedures including hair removal and medical therapies.
IPL is the process of using specific wavelengths of light to provide a range of aesthetic and therapeutic treatments. This differs from laser-based therapies that only produce a single wavelength of light and can therefore only treat a single specific condition.
The SkinBase IPL can be used for a wide range of treatments including hair reduction, photo rejuvenation, acne and vascular lesions. It also features a unique cooling cryo-handset that creates an anaesthetic effect on the skin surface to provide the most comfortable treatment experience.
Prices for Hair removal subject to consultation
- Facial: £25.00-£45.00 (depending on hair growth)
- Underarm: £40
- Bikini: £50 -£60 per session
- Half leg: £60 per session
Medical Therapies - £40 per treatment

- Facial rejuvenation
- Vascular and Rosacea conditions
Usually clients need 6 appointments every 3-6 weeks depending on skin and hair type. For facial rejuvenation, we recommend 3 treatments.
Appointments for consultations and treatments should be made through the Hair and Beauty department on 0161 674 8231. The consultation is charged at £12.00, refundable against a booked appointment.
Appointment slots are available at the following times:
- Monday: 10.00am - 12.00pm and 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Private consultations are available at the following times:
- Monday: 3.30pm - 4.30pm
- Wednesday: 5.30pm - 7.30pm
