Cian’s got options after champion results
The Sport and Exercise Science student scored a hat trick of top grades.
A successful career in the sports industry awaits Cian Colleran after he received outstanding results on his Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science.
The 19-year-old achieved a D*D*D* and is progressing to Manchester Metropolitan University, where he’ll be studying for a degree in Sports Science.
“I’m keeping my options open as there are four career routes I’m still considering,” Cian said. “Nutritionist, teacher, physiotherapy and sports psychology. After my degree, I can specialise in the route I’ve decided to take.”
Speaking about his time at The Manchester College, Cian said: “I came to the open day and spoke to Chris Blackburn and he sold the course to me. It just felt like the right place for me.
“It’s been difficult because of Covid but I’ve really enjoyed the time I spent at the College, especially the learning environment. All the staff and students are really friendly and there’s a good atmosphere on campus.
“I would recommend The Manchester College to others because I felt like I got more independence – it doesn’t feel like a school. The tutors are always there to support you, but they give you the freedom to do your work independently.”
