Karl's passion for fixing cars goes far beyond the classroom

Karl Morris decided to start his journey to amazing and study at the College. ‘It’s in a good location’ he said ‘and the course has a good rating and pass rate.’

‘The tutors are really helpful and friendly. They've helped me learn a lot. It doesn’t matter how many questions I ask, they keep answering and helping me out.’

On the course, Karl’s enjoyed finding out about the cars he’s been working on. ‘I’m keen to find out about the specific components of the different cars, how they perform and how to fix them. I’m getting to know more about the technical side of the engine and the different levels of power behind the different makes. Toyota Salinas are my favourite!’

His passion goes beyond the classroom. ‘I like to go home and practice on my own car’ he said.

I can put the knowledge and experience I’ve gained from the course into practice. I’ve found it really helps me with the practical work we do in College.

‘I’d like to work for a breakdown recovery company – AA or RAC. I’d like to be on the move and out on the road using my skills to fix people's cars. I’ve been able to study breakdown techniques on my course and have built up my own tools.’

We wish Karl every success as he continues his career journey.
