A mix of self-study and in person attendance, you will get hands on experience with our state of the art, industry standard equipment. You will learn the theory in your own time via online materials, videos and activities. Every alternative week you will attend the Cisco lab to gain practical hands on experience CCNA2 Switching, Routing and Wireless essentials focuses on switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks, including wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. In this second course in a 3-course CCNA series you will learn how to perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting, identify and mitigate LAN security threats, and configure and secure a basic WLAN.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
• Work with routers, switches and wireless devices to configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Wireless LANs and Inter-VLAN routing.
• Configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel.
• Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer.
• Explain how to support available and reliable networks using dynamic addressing and first-hop redundancy protocols.
After completing all three CCNA courses, you'll be ready to take the CCNA Certification 200-301.

There are no formal requirements for this Cisco Networking course, but you should ideally have Level 2 qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Maths to gain the most experience from the programme. You should have also gained some industry experience or have completed CCNA1 Introduction to Networks v7.

Throughout the duration of the course, you will complete a number of online tests in class, one final online exam, and one final work-based practical exam.
Once you have completed all three courses in the curriculum you will be fully prepared for the professional exam 200-301 (taken separately at a testing facility).

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can progress on to our CCNA3 Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation course.
The CCNAv7 curriculum helps students develop workforce readiness skills and builds a foundation for success in networking-related careers.
