If you are looking for a career in the media sector, then this course will give you the skills you'll need to succeed. Creative Media Production & Technology has been designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree-level study and employment in the media sector. The curriculum assignment briefs reflect the demands of working in digital design and communication. We've put employment-focused skills at the heart of the course so you can confidently apply for creative and production jobs straight after leaving College.

The course provides various opportunities for those who have an interest in media to explore, develop and test their creativity within a qualification structure. Past students have collaborated with professional charity organisations, independent clients and more as they provide stimulating and demanding timescales for students. Alongside this, tutors on the course provide the supportive transition from practical tasks to more specialised study on this diploma.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

The course is assessed through written reports, blogs, vlogs, work journals, sketchbooks, portfolio development, image creation, design solutions, audio-visual recordings, one to one feedback and interviews.
There are no formal examinations connected to this course. A Students overall grade will come from the final major project assessed by tutors and moderated by the exam board at the end of each year.

Progress on to degree-level study with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship. Click Here to explore courses and apply.
