This two-year course will allow you to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the range of necessary skills needed for a future in the Criminal Justice or Public Services Sector.

Covering topics from law, psychology and sociology to criminal justice and crime scene investigation, this course serves as great preparation for future work and is a fantastic steppingstone for anyone interested in further study within this field.

You will learn about the process from crime scene to court room and explore criminological theories all while strengthening your leadership skills for the workplace.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

This course includes four formal examinations; two internally moderated, and two externally moderated. Learners will also be expected to complete graded course work throughout the duration of the course.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can explore a range of career options in the Uniformed Services and Criminal Justice System at HE and apprenticeship level. Alternatively, learners can progress onto a higher-level qualification within the Criminal Justice or Public Services field. This course is also offered at Level 4, 5 and 6 with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
