The UAL Level 2 Music Performance and Production Blended Pathway is a practical, hands-on course for musicians and vocalists who want to develop both performance and production skills. To join this course, you must have the ability to play an instrument or sing - regular live performances are a key part of the learning experience.

Our facilities and unique opportunities on this course include:
• Top-class recording studios for professional-quality production.
• Mac suites with Logic Pro to compose, record, and mix.
• Live performances at the iconic Band on the Wall venue in Manchester.

Course Structure
The course is built around key units, focusing on:
• Music performance techniques – Enhancing instrumental/vocal skills and stage presence.
• Music production skills – Recording, sequencing, and mixing music.
• Collaborative and solo projects – Creating, producing, and performing original music.
• Research – Understanding careers in music & researching your favourite artists.
• Final Major Project – A showcase performance

Formal interview. Prior interest and experience in music is desireable.

Assessments will focus on an evidence portfolio that you'll build up throughout the course. This will include some written assignments but will also be performances, recorded group discussions and presentations or viva voces.

Upon successful completion of this course you can progress onto our Level 3 Music Performance and Production, study an apprenticeships, gain employment in an entry-level role in the music industry or discover Further Education in related creative fields.
