Engage, Transition, Progress (EPT)

This full-time programme is aimed at supporting young people with SEND to transition into a vocational college course or, if more appropriate, work-based learning.

Learners will acquire the skills and confidence to move towards a more independent and adult environment. We acknowledge that moving into college is a daunting experience for a lot of young people and our programme gives them that extra time to adjust and become comfortable with the new environment and challenges ahead.

While the programme we offer is usually 15 hours per week and usually consist of English, maths, employability, digital and creative; as well as access to vocational and work-based opportunities. Each young person will have a study programme and level of support built to accommodate their own needs.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

Assessment for the Employability skills qualification is based on the development of a portfolio throughout the course, maths and English will be assessed with an exam

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you'll be able to access many other qualifications in a diverse range of vocational areas.
Alternatively, many students use this qualification to access employment, especially with the links made in the local community.
