Electrical Installation - IEA

If you're interested in becoming an electrician in
the building services industry, this course is the perfect starting
point.

The programme is designed to provide you with the essential
occupational skills and knowledge needed to begin your journey
towards becoming a competent electrician. You'll study key topics
such as scientific principles, installation of wiring systems and
enclosures, and electrical installations technology, giving you a
strong foundation in the electrotechnical sector.

As part of your study programme, you'll also complete a work
placement, where you'll gain first-hand experience of the industry.
You'll have the opportunity to work with local employers, who will
support your learning through demonstrations, talks, and practical
insights into the trade.

On successful completion of this course, you can progress to a
Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or onto the T Level in
Building Services Engineering, paving the way towards an
apprenticeship or employment in the electrical industry.

You will be assessed by one externally set, externally moderated assignment and one externally set, externally marked exam, sat under examination conditions. You will then receive a final grade of either Pass, Merit, Distinction, Distinction*.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you may be able to progress onto our Level 3 T Level in Building Services Engineering (Electrical Installation).
This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and practical skills needed for working in the electrotechnical industry and so will help you on your way to becoming a competent electrician
