Start your journey to amazing with our Python for Beginners courses and develop your knowledge of programming and systems development using Python.

This course will provide you with a good foundation for beginning computer programming.

Over eight weeks, you'll develop the skills you need to write basic programmes that can communicate with operating systems and understand programming language.

You'll design, implement, test and document Python solutions and then, once you've learnt the basics of Python, you'll be able to apply your knowledge to write simple applications.

There are no formal requirements for this course, however, applicants will require basic computer skills such as using the internet, saving and opening files and using text editors. Additionally, you should also be comfortable with basic mathematics.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to progress to other programming courses at The Manchester College.

The cost of this course is £280.00.
Please note that this is a short evening course which is self-funded and needs to be paid in full on the enrolment date after you have applied for the course.

In addition, you may choose to buy some of the core textbooks for the course and/or a computer for practising at home. Estimated costs for a computer are £300. A portable hard drive is also highly recommended with a minimum of 1TB storage. Estimated costs of a hard drive is £40.

Unfortunately there are no exceptions for applicants who are Asylum Seekers or those on benefits although we do accept sponsorship from employers.
