The media landscape is continuously changing, and you will learn what it takes to become a content creator in this diverse and fast paced sector. This T Level has a distinct focus on developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to embark on a successful career within the content creation and production. As one of our Industry Excellence Academy programmes, you will have the opportunity to work with employers, who will develop your technical and creative skills using live industry briefs.

There is a distinct focus on your ability to solve problems, both independently and collaboratively. You will develop problem solving skills through a mixture of practically led workshops, theoretical sessions and opportunities that allow you to appreciate how different job roles support each other. Professional behaviours will be actively encouraged in the creative workspace, particularly those relating to confidentiality, ethics and social responsibility, to prepare you for entering the workplace.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of the production process beginning with ideation and leading into research, where you will develop an appreciation of how cultural, historical, technological and social contexts have influenced not only the development of existing media platforms but your own productions. This will lead into exploration, experimental and development processes that will allow you to visually communicate a narrative to engage specific audiences. You will do this through challenging and using conventions and industry software.

You will be expected to continuously develop your professional profile and portfolio through live client briefs. This will include pitching your concepts, engaging with audiences and showcasing your work through social media and exhibitions.
