Enrol on a Prince’s Trust course and boost your career prospects

Young people can gain a free, nationally recognised qualification by signing up today for the Prince’s Trust Team Programme at The Manchester College.

The full-time, 12-week programme is available to 16-25 year olds who aren’t in education or employment, with the aim of boosting your confidence, help you meet new friends and gain new skills. No prior qualifications are needed, just a willingness to learn and get involved.

The Team Programme is delivered in the classroom, online and out in the local community in partnership with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. It takes place at a number of different locations, with start dates available throughout the year.

The courses will run from three locations, starting on 28 September:

  • Wythenshawe Campus, The Manchester College
  • Bolton Central Fire Station
  • Hyde Fire Station

As part of the course, you’ll advance your maths and English skills, develop your CV and improve your interview skills. You’ll also get two weeks’ work experience in something you’re interested in and, subject to Covid-19 restrictions, take part in an action-packed residential trip.

Michelle Rigg, Head of Department for Employability and Engagement said:

The Prince’s Trust Team Programme makes a real difference in young people’s lives. It can help them find a new direction, make new friends or take time to discover what it is they need for a bright future.

Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be able to access a wide range of other Level 1 and 2 courses at The Manchester College or access employment

The first course starts on Monday 28 September so don’t hesitate to find out more about our Prince’s Trust Team Programme and enrol today
