
T Level Science student secures employment at Cancer Research UK
Following a successful work placement, a T Level Science student at The Manchester College has secured employment as a Scientific Assistant at Cancer Research UK’s Manchester Institute.
Henry Mafe completed his industry placement hours at the charity as part of his T Level qualification and thanks to his hard work and dedication, has been offered a permanent job.
Speaking about his experiences on the course, Henry said: “My course has given me a great insight into the world of Science and the different careers within it. This knowledge allowed me to feel confident when applying for jobs such as this one.”
Jabinda Silva Lobo, T Level Science Course Leader at The Manchester College, commented: "I am delighted for Henry, he has worked so hard for this. His career is off to a great start, and he can start putting his knowledge into practice for such a worthwhile cause."
Sally Cooper, Head of Science at the College, added: “We are all proud of Henry. Securing such a prestigious job at this stage of his career is a testament to the hard work that he’s put in since joining the College. I am really excited to see what direction his career takes him.”
