Success at the Educate North Awards 2022

The Manchester College recognised during event at iconic Manchester city centre venue.

Back in February, judges shortlisted The Manchester College for two prestigious awards.

The Manchester College’s Creative Media Tutors and employer partner, the Ideas Foundation, were shortlisted in the Digital Education and Development Award category, and the Industry Excellence Academy (IEA) was shortlisted for the Business/Industry Collaboration – HE/FE Sector award.

The suspense has been building since the finalists were announced and staff from The Manchester College recently attended this year’s ceremony, which took place at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.

The event, which celebrates, recognises and shares best practice and excellence in the education sector in the north, was attended by some truly worthy finalists and staff from The Manchester College walked away proud winners of the Business/Industry Collaboration – HE/FE Sector category - an incredible achievement for The Manchester College’s IEA and everyone involved.

Christine Kenyon, Deputy Principal of The Manchester College, said: “The Manchester College has a longstanding relationship with the Educate North Awards, and I was absolutely thrilled when we were shortlisted for two of this year’s categories.

“Whilst our colleagues work tirelessly to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and hands on experience of what it’s like to work in their chosen fields, the support, training and real work opportunities provided by our employer partnerships are critical to their learning.  They really do deserve this, and I’m so pleased they’ve been recognised in this way.”

Congratulations to all the finalists and winners involved in the celebrations.
