Educate North Awards 2022 Finalists

Judges shortlist The Manchester College for two prestigious awards.

The Manchester College is delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories for the Educate North Awards 2022.

The Educate North Awards is a prestigious event, which celebrates, recognises and shares best practice and excellence in the education sector in the north.

The Manchester College’s Creative Media Tutors and the Ideas Foundation will compete for the Digital Education and Development Award and the Industry Excellence Academy (IEA) is a finalist in the Business/Industry Collaboration – HE/FE Sector category.

With support from the Ideas Foundation and charity clients, The Manchester College’s Creative Media Tutors were able to continue offering work experience opportunities to Level 3 students despite local and national restrictions and lockdowns as a result of the global pandemic.

The IEA has been recognised for its close working relationships with partner organisations in industry that have resulted in unprecedented levels of employer engagement and provided opportunities for students.

This shortlisting follows on from the Queen’s Anniversary Prize that The Manchester College recently collected during a ceremony at St James’s Palace.

The winners of this year’s Educate North Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 7 April 2022 at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.
