Theatre and Performance students and lecturers perform in Romania
This December Theatre and Performance travelled to Iasi, Romania to present a devised performance that depicts the city of Manchester.
After watching the Romanian students present their performances illustrating Iasi, the two nationality teams will work together to create a new collaborative transcultural piece of theatre entitled Our Place.
The Theatre and Performance lecturers have recently met with the staff from Romania to discuss plans for the international project. Speaking of collaborating with UK universities before, staff said:
We have met some wonderful teachers and some very talented students. The difficult times are few and the crazy, unexpected, weird and wonderful are plentiful.
The course team are very excited about the opportunity and experience this will give their students.
