Piano Teacher

This part-time employed role comes with holiday pay of 5.6 wks per year. 2 weeks paid leave during summer closure, 2 weeks paid leave during Christmas closure and a further 1.6 wks paid leave at a flexible time/date.

We offer small group music lessons to both kids and adults and we are seeking a creative and passionate piano teacher with a pop/rock focus who can work well with children.

You would be required to be available for both or one of the following:

Saturdays from 9.30am-3:30pm in Urmston (M41 9SB) with the view to grow to 9-5pm

Lessons are scheduled for 48 weeks of the year providing a reliable and steady income for the right teacher. The ideal candidate should be willing to grow their timetable to increase the amount of teaching hours per week.

At Anthem Music School, we believe that music lessons should be fun and engaging for younger learners. That's why we are looking for someone who can already plan exciting lessons for children and incorporate games into their teaching or is eager to learn how! As part of our mission, we want to make our students feel like rockstars and inspire them to become lifelong musicians.

The main tasks of this role include teaching small groups (max of 4 in a class), preparing for lessons, and printing/providing music for students to use in class. You may also be responsible for opening up and locking up the teaching rooms and building, writing brief weekly lesson notes, setting practice homework and encouraging students to get involved in our performance opportunities.

The ideal candidate should possess a fun and professional approach, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational and time management skills. We also value initiative, tenacity, and a positive approach to change. A passion for educating children and adults is a must!

Desirable qualifications for this role include:

• grade 5 level on your instrument 
• the ability to read music
• a degree level in Music/Music Performance/Music Technology or working towards a music related qualification

As a teacher at Anthem Music School, you must be customer service focused, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a team. You should be confident in communicating with both children and adults and happy to adapt your teaching style so that it can be understood by all age groups.
