Do you have an interest in understanding, managing and protecting the world we live in, tackling some of the issues facing the world by studying mental health? Study psychological theories in conjunction with the effects of the health care system.

To enrol on this Access to Higher Education Diploma, you'll need to have GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in both Maths and English. GCSE Science would be an advantage at some universities. You are advised to check individual universities for their entry requirements.

You'll be assessed continuously throughout this Access Diploma. This will include academic essays and reports, lectures, projects, presentations, seminars and exams.

You will be studying a wide range of topics including Social Perspectives on Mental Health, Psychological Trauma, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Wellbeing and the effects of stress from a psychological perspective.
As you balance a number of simultaneous assignments and deadlines, you'll be developing the important skills and abilities that are valued by university admissions tutors and potential employers. This includes being able to write academic essays, complete reliable research, and critically analyse documents, all of which you'll learn on this Access Diploma as you prepare for university.
