This qualification will help students learn, develop and practise the skills required for a career in Bricklaying. This includes how to work in a safe, professional manner to an accepted code of practice, as well as estimating material requirements and pricing of the work. This qualification forms the technical certificate for the Construction Building Apprenticeship Framework.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of exams and practical tests.
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will possess a variety of skills to enable them to build, repair and maintain the country's housing stock. Students can use this qualification to progress onto a Level 3 Bricklaying qualification, or an apprenticeship, and work towards becoming skilled in their chosen trade.
