If you're 16-19 years old and you want to work as an electrician in the building services industry then this course is for you.
Designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills, this course will provide you with the platform from which to progress through further into a Level 3 T Level or alternatively help you take a step towards being a competent electrician.
You'll be required to complete a 315 hour work placement as part of your study programme while you gain an understanding of the skills required within the electrotechnical sector by studying units such as scientific principles, installation of wiring systems and enclosures, and electrical installations technology.
Through this course you'll work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training and provide demonstrations and talks on the industry.

Achieved either GCSE Maths or English grade 4 with the other at grade 3, plus GCSE Science at grade 4.
Successful completion of Jump Starts to T Levels programme

You will be assessed by one externally set, externally moderated assignment and one externally set, externally marked exam, sat under examination conditions. You will then receive a final grade of either Pass, Merit, Distinction, Distinction*.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you may be able to progress onto our Level 3 T Level in Building Services Engineering (Electrical Installation).
This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and practical skills needed for working in the electrotechnical industry and so will help you on your way to becoming a competent electrician
