Course Details

  • This course is ideal for anyone that’s new to the music industry and technology. If you want to know what it’s all about, this introduction to the industry will help you get a really good grounding in professional music production.

    With a hands-on focus, you’ll explore all the basics of studio recording, including how to record and mix a multi-track recording and use a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) to create and remix music. You will create your own beats using industry standard software such as Logic and Ableton and learn the basics of DJ technology.

  • No formal qualifications are required but you will need a genuine interest in music production.

  • There are no formal assessments for this course.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to progress onto the Level 2 in Music Production at The Manchester College and gain the skills required for a career as a Studio Engineer, Composer, Producer or DJ.
