Course Details

  • For anyone looking to develop practical and technical skills in music recording and production, DJ skills and using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), then this Level 2 Extended Certificate will enable you to do this.

    You will learn advanced recording, mixing and mastering techniques in addition to creating your own music using industry standard software. You will also learn how to make money out of your music.

    Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

  • Assessments will focus on an evidence portfolio that you’ll build up throughout the course. This will include some written assignments but will mostly consist of practical studio and DAW projects.

  • After you’ve successfully passed this Level 2 course in Music Technology, you’ll have the skills and expertise needed to advance onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology with us at The Manchester College.

    This is the ideal step to deepen your knowledge and help prepare you for a number of roles in music technology, including sound engineering (live or recording), post-production engineering, and DJ-ing. You’ll find a range of career opportunities in the Music industry to explore.
