This Level 2 qualification has been designed for anyone looking to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of practical and technical skills within music recording, music production, DJ skills or event production using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
The course will help you to explore your interest in music production, DJ and studio technology as well as event promotion and learn more about these areas whilst building upon the core transferable skills that are invaluable within the music industry.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
Assessments will focus on an evidence portfolio that you'll build up throughout the course. This will include some written assignments but will mostly consist of practical studio and DAW projects.
After you've successfully passed this Level 2 course in Music Technology, you'll have the skills and expertise needed to advance onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology with us at The Manchester College.
This is the ideal step to deepen your knowledge and help prepare you for a number of roles in music technology, including sound engineering (live or recording), post-production engineering, and DJ-ing. You'll find a range of career opportunities in the Music industry to explore.
