This course is aimed at those with a role in promoting awareness, negotiating or representing members on equality issues.
The course covers:
• Raising awareness of the equality agenda within workplaces and trade unions
• Enabling union reps to make equality and diversity part of the collective bargaining agenda
• Working with any vulnerable workers to ensure fair treatment.
You are required to be a representative of a TUC-affiliated trade union.
You also need to ensure that you have time off to attend this course and that you have informed the appropriate union branch official or officer of your intention to take the course.
Throughout the course you will be continuously assessed by the course tutor through classroom and workplace-based activities.
Completing this course enables you to enrol on further TUC programmes.
