Childhood Studies learners recognised at celebration event

Our Industry Excellence Academy for Childhood Studies recently hosted an end-of-term celebration to acknowledge our students’ exemplary work.

The Manchester College’s Childhood Studies learners were recently recognised for their successes, commitment, and progression at an end-of-term celebration event.

Students were awarded certificates for achievements, such as excellent work placement observations and standout attendance. At the same time, our tutors made speeches about how individual learners displayed growth and commitment throughout the course.

The event concluded with a special acknowledgement for Ruby Harding, Kayleigh Gaynor, Sarah Marriott and Veronica Uzoma who won the Greater Manchester Skills Childhood Studies competition earlier this year.

Industry experts from Vision for Education, NHS and more attended the event to discuss employment opportunities and career pathways with our learners. Tutors from UCEN Manchester also attended the celebration to show students the industry opportunities they could access through higher education.

Talking about the event Childhood Studies Course Leader Gillian Taylor said: "It was a fantastic opportunity to show our students how proud we are of not only of their achievements and success but also how much they’ve grown during their time at The Manchester College.”

"It was fantastic to have industry guests see our students’ success and dedication, share their knowledge and prepare students for working in the sector".
