Get career ready with free courses

Students with a passion for Hair and Beauty, who are curi2ous about the Catering industry, or enthusiastic about Travel and Tourism can now sign up to a selection of free courses at The Manchester College.

The taster sessions have been organised for young people aged 16 to 18 who are not currently in education to find out more about a whole range of industries while gaining practical skills.

Introduction to Hair and Beauty will be held at Harpurhey and Northenden campus, with students able to take part in hairdressing, make up and beauty therapy classes.

Introduction to Hospitality and Catering, at Openshaw and Wythenshawe campuses, offers a series of practical cookery sessions and insight into working at a professional kitchen.

Introduction to Travel and Tourism, also based at Harpurhey campus, will explore the world of flight attendants, group crew, airport security and the wider travel industry.

All courses start on Wednesday 24 April 2019 and students will gain a certificate from The Manchester College, along with advice on how to establish a career in their chosen field.
