Technical education success celebrated at The Manchester College
94% of students achieve their Level 3 qualification at the number one College in Greater Manchester for achievement.
Level 3 results day has provided plenty of reasons for celebration at The Manchester College, with students achieving strong outcomes across T Levels and other technical and creative qualifications, including BTECs, that are equivalent to three A Levels.
The College’s pass rate for T Level students was 90%. Impressively, 74% of students have walked away with a Merit or above and 30% of students achieved a distinction or higher, reflecting the high level of attainment across these industry-focused qualifications.
This is the College’s fourth cohort of T Level students to complete the advanced technical qualifications, with outcomes continuing to demonstrate the strength of the College’s technical curriculum.
T Levels, introduced at the College in 2021, are equivalent to three A Levels and combine classroom-based learning with a substantial industry placement of at least 45 days, ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for successful careers when they enter the workplace.
Alongside this, students studying other Level 3 technical and creative courses, including BTECs, also delivered excellent results. Overall, 99% of students successfully achieved their qualifications, with 82% achieving a Merit or higher, and 56% securing a Distinction or above.

Curry added: “Technical education is going from strength to strength at our College and we’re extremely proud of the high-quality, career-focused courses we offer. Whatever route our students chose to take with us, it’s incredibly rewarding to see so many of them achieving and progressing.”
T Level Science student Aksam has walked away with a Distinction. Reflecting on how it felt when he received his results, Aksam said: “I was very happy (with my results) because I was able to get my firm choice, the University of Liverpool, and (I'm looking to) improve on the research and practical (skills), and experience I've gained from here (The Manchester College).”
Level 3 Music student Sam is also celebrating after achieving D*D*D* on his course at the College. Sam said: “When I received my results, it was great. It meant I could get to the next step, which is university.
“I'm going to Leeds Conservatoire to study songwriting.”
When asked about his time with the further education provider, Sam added:
It's a really great experience. You meet so many new people, so many new experiences that you never thought you'd be doing.
