The Manchester College is AoC Beacon Awards double finalist
The Manchester College has made it through to the finals in two categories of this year’s Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Awards.
The College, which is number one for achievement in Greater Manchester, is now through to the third and final stage of the competition in the following two categories:
- The Careers and Enterprise Company Award for Innovation in Careers and Enterprise
- Jisc Award for Effective use of Digital Technology in Further Education
The finalists were officially announced at the AoC Conference this week. Each finalist will now be visited by a team of assessors over the next two months to gain a better understanding of individual submissions before the winners are announced at a national award ceremony on 20 March, 2020.
The awards celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK further education colleges, and the shortlisted applications have demonstrated a high level of innovation, impact and sustainability.
Lisa O’Loughlin, Principal of The Manchester College, said: “To see The Manchester College reach the AoC Beacon Awards finalist in two categories is fantastic and I am so proud of the hard work and dedication of all colleagues who have made this possible.”
