The Manchester College lights up Manchester Town Hall

Manchester Town Hall was lit up by a unique light show as The Manchester College celebrated the launch of our new organisation and asked the city to ‘be amazing’. 

The elegant Grade I listed building turned heads last night as a 4.5m/15ft ‘gobo’ (light stencil) appeared over its front entrance. The ‘gobo’ featured the college’s new iconic chevron and strapline, ‘be amazing’.

When it was completed in 1877, the Town Hall heralded a new era for the city’s industry and wealth. 139 years later, it was the perfect canvas for the new organisation, which has exciting plans for employment, education and opportunities in Greater Manchester.
