Music and Performance students named TMC’s Got Talent winners

Students from across the College community take to the stage in the grand finale of TMC’s Got Talent 2025

Organised by the College’s Enrichment team the acts, who came from across the College’s five campuses and studying a variety of courses, demonstrated a wide range of talents at City Campus Manchester’s Longmore Theatre.

Over 20 students had entered the competition this year, auditioning across campuses before being selected to perform in the Grand Final. 

Olivia Norton (Singer) and Hifza Ahmed (Keyboardist) won the show with their powerful and incredible cover of "Saving All My Love for You" by Whitney Houston.

Following this performance, they both received a standing ovation. The students, both currently studying Music and Performance at The Manchester College, were delighted. 

Hifza said: “Taking part was really fun, and such a great experience. Just having the chance to perform was phenomenal!"

Olivia added: “We had such a fun time, from rehearsing and then obviously performing. It was just a great experience that we would love to do again!"

Rachel Curry, Principal and Deputy CEO, was in attendance and said: “This annual competition is a fixture on our enrichment calendar and never fails to be anything but a fantastic showcase of the amazing often ‘hidden’ talents that our brilliant students have. The breadth of talent on show this year, was once again, breathtaking.

“Huge congratulations to Olivia and Hifza for being voted as the winner for 2025. Their rendition of Saving All My Love for You by Whitney Houston was incredible. “

The student performances were complemented by acts from two members of staff who also took to the stage. Sam Lowe from our Enrichment team performed a magic trick and English teacher Ross McCabe sang on stage alongside some of our students.

Rachel added: “Whilst TMC’s Got Talent showcases performance talent, it also builds confidence in trying new and challenging things, but what I found particularly moving was students encouraging and supporting each other. It was a joyful evening with the whole College community coming together for the occasion."
