Support

Whatever stage of the journey you’re at, you’ll never be alone at The Manchester College. From the moment you start looking at courses with us, to after you’ve earned your qualifications and for as long as you need, we’re here to help.

A welcoming learning environment

Everyone at the College has been working hard to ensure that when your course starts you will receive a great college experience in an environment that is welcoming and puts your health and safety first.

To achieve this, we are making some alterations to our campuses that will make it possible to maintain social distancing and some changes to the College timetable, including staggered start times, to ensure the number of people on campus at any one time is kept to a safe level.

In addition to this, from September we will be offering a blended approach to your studies. This will see you attend campus for parts of your timetable while other parts of your course will be delivered by a tutor online. Once you have enrolled, you will receive your timetable.

Don’t worry, we know there is quite a lot to take in - once you have enrolled, we will be sharing the key messages with you over the coming weeks. So, whilst things may look and feel slightly different, the excellent teaching, learning and support will remain the same.

The 16-19 Tuition Fund

The 16-19 Tuition Fund is a government initiative to assist eligible students due to the disruption caused by COVID. The funding is being used by The Manchester College to support small group tuition for 16 to 19 students in English, maths, and other courses where learning has been disrupted. Find out more information about about the 16-19 Tuition Fund here.

Where to get information and support

Please remember that, whilst it won’t be as easy to drop in and see us on campus at the moment, our team are still here to provide all the answers and support you need.
