Be Prepared

  • In plenty of time before your Exam…Check...

    Information

Make sure you read all of the information on your ‘Statement of Entry’

    Rules and Regulations

Make sure you read all of the Rules and Regulation documentation on the 'Rules and Regulations' page on this section of the website.

    Support - Access Arrangements

Please check with your tutor that the appropriate support arrangements have been put in place well in advance of your exam.

  • On the day of the Exam…Check...

    Time

Ensure you give yourself plenty of time and arrange to be in college 30 minutes prior to your exam start time.

You have your college ID so the Invigilator can verify who you are.

    Equipment

The college do not provide the equipment for your exam. It is essential you bring this with you. Examinations vary as to what equipment you require so it is best to check with your tutor prior to the Exam. All equipment should be in a see through pencil case or loose.

  • Entering the Exam Room…Check...

    Rules and Regulations – again!

Review of all the Rules and Regulations.  It is the same information you received in your ‘Statement of Entry’ Notification and will be displayed in and around the Exam Room.

The following points have been taken from the rules and Regulations and is not the full list but they are the ones we seem to have to remind candidates about most frequently:

    Exam Conditions

As soon as you enter the room you are under Exam Conditions. There should be no communicating to others unless you raise your hand to speak to the invigilator.

    Bags

All Bags and belongings should be put in a separate allocated room or in a designated space in the Exam Room.  The invigilator will inform you of this before asking you to enter the exam room

    Mobile Phone

Mobile phones should be switched off!  Phones should then be put in your bag.  If you do not have a bag then the phone should be handed to the invigilator and placed in a box at the front of the room.

    Smart Watch/Data Watch

Smart Watches should be ‘switched off’ ! Smart watches should then be put in your bag.  If you do not have a bag then the Smart Watch should be handed to the invigilator and placed in a box at the front of the room.

    Regular Watches

Your watch should be removed from your wrist and put in your bag or placed on your exam desk.
