Ben marches towards a career in the armed forces
Ben Goldsmith is one step closer to his dream career in the armed forces after completing his Level 3 Diploma For Entry to the Uniformed Services.
He has enjoyed his time at the College and points to his tutors as the main reason he had such a positive experience at the College. He says: “The staff know how to teach everyone individually. During my time at the College, obviously there were the challenges around Covid-19, but the College put things in place to make it better for us.”
Ben, who achieved a merit today, will be starting at UCEN Manchester in September to study for a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He then aims to go on to Sandhurst to train as an officer in the British Army.
He adds: “I’ve wanted to join the army for a while, but then Covid came along. I saw the course at the College and the staff and welfare team at my school recommended the College so I enrolled. I’m going to do my degree at UCEN Manchester and then start my career in the army.”
